So two friends and I headed out to badger yesterday, first time with the boat out there. The original plan was to go out and fish for trout or cutthroat but a little exploring of the lake led to other plans. As we fished spinners along the rocks we started hooking into little LM bass, nothing over 8 inches. So we moved down to what I believe would be the east end of the lake, where it shallows out a little bit and gets real weedy. We started throwing bass lures and I swear every five casts was another fish for all three of us. Problem was the fish were pretty tiny. I don't think I have ever seen so many little bass! I landed the biggest of the day coming in at 14 inches. We hooked into two more that were 12-14 inches but lost em. So here's my question for the BBs of BL, you seem real knowledgeable about this lake.... Are there any larger bass in there, and which end is best, I noticed as we were getting ready to pull the boat out that the west side is full of weeds and lilly pads. We threw a few casts out there and I hooked another that was about 12 inches but he got off. All in all it was a great day on the lake, the water was like glass except for the times a ski boat full of people would cruise by with their music loud enough we could hear it about 300 yards away (not exaggerating). I would guess we caught 50 - 60 little bass throughout the day. They were small but we had fun.
