W. Medical picked up today. Winds have cleaned up the southern end, which was becoming a mess due to several days of temps in the 70s and low 80s. Temp 50 at 8:30 and winds from the south at about 10-15 MPH. Everyone was catching fish....bank anglers, boaters with hardware, and folks in pontoons and float tubes tossing flies. I managed 12 or so to net from about 25 hook-ups, mostly small fish except for a few from 18-20". Most of mine came by way of chironomids on a sink line while fishing deep water. Had to find a new haunt, though, for the area immediately off the launch was not producing. I did get a few while stripping a damsel pattern. My partner stayed in the shallow water west of the launch and got two dozen fish, mostly small except for two triploids at 23 and 24". I particularly enjoyed watching a father and son duo string them up! That young man was having fun! Conditions should only improve as cooler air moves in for the next few days.
