I fished Myron Lake from about 4 to 6 pm. I tried for bass in the shallows for the first hour using plastics and topwater crankbaits. I didn't get any strikes, it was extremely windy though, so I'll blame it on that. From 5 to 6 I fished for trout using a small red/white spoon. I got one bite, hooked it, landed it, and released it. It was a beautiful 12-incher; I caught it on the side of the lake closest to the freeway. I left at 6 because the wind was about to blow me into Kittitas County. I'll be back on a calm-water day very soon to pursue bass in the shallows.
Remember, Myron Lake is a selective gear fishery; so be sure to use only single point barbless hooks when fishing it, as well as no bait or scent. The limit for trout is one a day.
