Exciting day to start with. The road to the lake has not been maintained yet. Pot holes all over. Got about a quarter mile plus from the lake just south of the "Y" and there was snow preventing two four-wheelers and a regular truck from driving up there. No wonder it has not been stocked yet! Hiked in the the remaining way with drinks and light tackle. Snow around the lake about 24-30" still. The lake was barely ice covered on the eastern end. Usually a lot of logs to creep on to our spot, but most of those were covered in snow. Could not really see the boat ramp from where we were (logs galore). Laid out the chairs and tossed the lines out. No luck with power bait or worms (cold water & frozen bait LOL). About 6 total anglers out there. Slightly calm to windy. Some chill in the air, but not too bad 35-40F. Partly cloudy, nice sunshine. Fished from about 7:30-Noon. No bites and no fishes
:-( . Left and was goin to Lake K down the road, but that is still closed :-( . I love this lake, just no luck this round. Just not the same without my bro showsigner but celebrated like he was there. First time for me to get skunked there....There will be a next time in June!!!
