We arrived at the lake around 9am to find only a few boats on the water. As we put our boat into the water a bank fisherman was reeling in a 10" rainbow right next to the boat launch. That was a good sign. We trolled up the right side of the lake and saw several fish feeding on the surface but didn't have much luck trolling. The pair of bald eagles resting on the large old growth tree near the back of the lake was quite a sight. We decided to try some bait fishing and headed towards a past proven spot of ours on the lake. We dropped anchor and put on some fresh power eggs and to give it some added kick we dabbed on some highly regarded Pro Cure scent in a top secret flavor which we call our "secret sauce". It worked like magic. From 9:30-11:30 we were landing fish that could not resist this combination. They all inhaled it. We landed a 16" and 14" rainbow (both fat) and 10 other rainbows ranging from 8-12 inches. The 16" rainbow had two other hooks in it's belly including a silver swivel still attached to the line that broke off from previous anglers so our condolences goes out to those two fisherman who lost this beauty using weak line or bad knots. The only other boat near us landed one small trout in the same amount of time. (it's all in the secret sauce I tell you) The bite seemed to drop off just before noon. We were off the lake by 1pm and had a great time and plenty of fish. See you out on the lake. Tight lines.
