Tough trip to Medical today. The 0800 snow flurries here in town, although very light, were an ominous sign. Heavy, cold and swirling winds primarily from the south and west. Launched at 0930. Anchored in 23 feet of water in an area where I've had great success in the past. Fished chironomids and stillwater nymphs vertically with type IV sink line. Managed only six hook-ups in nearly four hours of fishing, with 3 large fish to net, 2 rainbows and 1 brown. 2 fish took the chironomid and 1 the stillwater. Lost 2 other airborne-type rainbows and the largest tiger I've ever hooked into. At least 20", lost at the boat. That tiger answered a question I had. Did any of last year's 18" tigers that I'd seen manage to carry-over? Evidently!
