I fished I-82 pond #3+4 bass are still holding deeper on weed beds but in the back of #4 theres a flooded pool with a big tree hanging over it. I threw worms, spinnerbaits,slug-o's ,jig and pig, crankbaits,and nada. I was just about ready to give up when i remembered I had some grubs. I put a 3" smoke salt and pepper flake on and on my first cast to this tree I caught a easy 3 1/2#er she was fat and in good shape so I let her go. Icaught maybe 6 more fish from about 2 to 1 #er's which is pretty good for that lake. I also noticed that a scent made all the difference in the world. I personally use "hot sauce". I was fishing 12# big game with a #5 split shot. To top it all off about the time I was ready to go I caught about a 153 carp on the grub just the second time I've caught them on plastics and who said a scent doesn't help.
