Its been a while since I have been to town, so I had to hit some of my favorite lakes. The day was sunny and as usual for Yakima, cold. I took my young nephew with me, ever since I helped him hook a nice 3 pound bass he loves to nothing but talk, eat, drink and live fishing. We hit the lake about mid afternoon, and we just used some tube baits. As I always do this time of year, we hit the entire south side first. Blamm, after blamm, we were hooking smaller rainbows, about ten inches each. The wind began to howl on through, but he persisted we keep moving. I had a nice brood trout on for while until my hook bent out. Maybe next time. Baits didn't seem to be doing any good, and we passed a lot of confused fishermen, wanting to know what the heck we were doing so different. Well, I would tell 'em, we were using jerky.
