We got to the lake about 4:30 PM. After settling in our cabin, we went to the dock to fish. We fished for about 1 hour. No luck. Another fellow told us that the fish start jumping about 1/2 hour before sunset.
We went back about 7:30 PM. Chuck caught a 14" trout right away on a floating lure. But after that, nothing. We called it quits for the night and decided to take the canoe out the next day.
Well, we fished and fished that lake for a full week. That 14 incher was the only one we caught. Talked to a few others that week (not many during the week were fishing) and nobody caught anything! Real disappointing.
We had good weather and the campgrounds were really nice so the week wasn't a total loss. Like they say - "Are you out there for the fish or just the chance to be out there". For us this time, it was just the being out there. Very relaxing. But if you want to bring in the fish, you'll have to look elsewhere.
