I live on the east side of Angle toward the north end, fish from my dock Fishing this year for me so far had been spotty. No limits, a fish or two a day (3 hours per) with the largest being 16 inches, all caught on orange power bait, no strikes on lures or spinners Today (4/17) was windy and cool and I almost did not venture down. Glad I did!! Still no lure action but from 1:30 until 6:00 I had at least 25 strikes/bites. All between 14-16 inches. If the ferocity of some of the bites is an indication, fishing is about to get really good. Until today, I was getting only nibbles and nudges, today the bigger fish were striking the bait like it was a trolled lure. My leader length was 34 inches.
