Went out again today to Terrell, still kind of slow, but getting better. Caught tons of perch just towing some small soft bait jigs with curly tails. Nailed a few bass 8 or 9 inchers throwing some spinner bait. For some reason I still have not landed one of the big trout yet. A guy on the far dock caught one, in about 2 hours of fishing time. Last year it seemed to pick up for the trout in mid-June. I have been still fishing from a boat with power bait and a trout rig. I prefer the yellow foam eggs they have now, but I'm not sure if the trout do too. They sure seemed to last year, and I usually spent the first part of the early morning getting 2 or 3 of them, letting them go, and then went off for some bass. The bass fishing here is the best in the county, I believe. I have caught up to 11 in a day, my fishing buddy even more, and almost a 5 pounder as the best, on a buzz bait strike king. We'll see you out there, have fun.
