After fishing Quincy for 2 days and hearing that everyone was catching fish at Burke I headed over to try my luck. I read the other Burke report of poor fishing and timing is everything.

I arrived about noon to dead calm conditions and warm sun. Warm enough to take my shirt off and get a sun burn. Gotta love that for early March! Fishing wasn't super hot, but picked up 2 nice fat 12 inchers in the fist half hour. Quite a few rising in the calm conditions. Water temp. was 44 degrees.

Picked up another and lost a couple at the shore using marshmallow and nightcrawler. There were a dozen or so fishing and everyone was catching one here and there. Nothing like the dead action at nearby Quincy. I'd say that lake had winterkill or the 22,000 fish they stocked last fall were abducted by aliens!....Quincy Lk was 42-44 degrees just like Burke Lk.
