hello fishing buddies!I have been to kapowsin several times well before there was a boat launch and I was with a family member who had been to lake several before I and had been slaying the rock bass on night crawlers. he had never used soft plastics or lures for that fact, myself am a true believer of lures and such, did'nt get a single bite. We again decided to go back cause he said "once you fnd them I believe we can catch them" so we arrived at sun rise and had no luck on soft plastics ,but once I decided on changing to crank bait the action picked up conciderably and we ended up catching a limit of black bass(5) and several small rock bass as well so its a great lake but once the water heats up its very difficult to catch anything. Not a trout fisherman, we've not done any good at the south for bass but Im sure it'll produce if you can get there early and not spook the fish very shallow the best part of the lake is the north end in the pockets and channel well good fishing and by the way lipless crank baits work. I've never minded the stumps cause i look at them as plus not a hamper, if you've got electronics fish the deep stumps that are'nt visible from the surface.take care
