Hi folks! Just returned from my yearly trip to Keechelus lake. The past few years have been horrible but this year was awesome. I caught a few Kokes as usual, but to me they are to small, only averaging 12''. So I throw 'em back. But What I'm usually always after is the nice Lakers. Now only once in a blue moon will I ever catch a nice lake but this year I did, It was a nice 3lb. 28'' Laker out of Keechelus. What I nice fish, you better beleive I will be back to my Keechelus next year. Please don't catch too many lakers though, soon they will be extinct, thats why I only keep one, And please catch over 50 squaws a day, they eat the lakers, and you make money fromn the state for each squaw you catch! Thank the fishing gods for something special, maybe the lakers are coming back? - Sean

*Editor's Note: Per an e-mail I received from Eric Anderson,
WDFW District Fish Biologist, there are no lake trout in Keechelus. Which means these fish are most likely bull trout and are not legal to keep. It is possible Sean was referring to Kachess, which does have lake trout. Unfortunately he did not include an e-mail address so I can not confirm this. Mike
