for what bubba and i figured was the last real 'summertime' weekend of fishing , we headed over the north cascade hiway into eastern wash. man, the drive alone was well worth the trip! the mountains against the blue sky, the trees just starting to turn colors, and the jade green of the river and lakes were just beautiful. by the time we got to pearrygin we had about 3hrs of fishing before dark. it was a bit windy when we put in, but calmed down after an hour or so. we started of trolling and did a good bit of still fishing as well. we couldn't keep the fish off our lines. the only problem was, they were all so small, we didn't feel right keeping any. (nothing over 8-9"). there is no limit now on the size or number of fish you can keep and you can sure catch a bucket full if you want. it would be a great place to take the kids as there is alot of action, but we found nothing of any size here. we saw alot of deer around the lake, as well as some giant heron, and even an eagle. it's a beautiful lake with beautiful scenery and is really well maintained.
