Battle Ground lake, boy I do not know if they can get anymore fish in the lake. Got to the lake around 9:00 AM. First fish in the boat around 9:10 AM. Did not stop catching fish until we pulled out of the lake for the trip home. Found fish would hit about anything, I had my best luck trolling Red and White Mepps, Black Panther Martins, Silver or White Rooster Tails and Brown and Red Power Worms behind wedding rings. Fishing shallow or deep did not seem to matter. As the day went on we found fish did seem to drop to about 15 feet or so in the deepest part of the lake. Average catch size around 12 to 15 inches with not many above 15. Did see one steelhead hooked but not landed. In many ways I think they are better to look at as they swim by verse going crazy over trying to catch. Outstanding day and a great way to wake up the senses for the upcoming season.
