Took the daughter to the dock last night between 6-8pm. She fished worm & bobber near the lily pads on either side of the dock; got several bites but wasn't paying attention and didn't set hook quickly enough.

I wanted to try for Rainbows, used small DickNite's orange/gold and also a pink jig with worms; got some tugs but couldn't hook em. Went back to basic worm & bobber near the lily pads and only got one 6" perch out of the entire evening.

Another angler on the dock offered a theory that this lake is in the early stages of drying up and dying. With the murky water, sludgy bottom and tiny creek supporting it, I can't say I disagree. Not sure I'd eat anything from this dirty water, but the surroundings are very serene, especially for a location so close to civilization.
