Fishing is still great on Tapps. The water is starting to cool back just a little and the late summer feeding frenzy has started. The real toad bass are up in shallow water feeding on this years young. Bob landed a 6 plus lbs smallie last week when we were trolling across the flats off Driftwood point in less than 6 foot of water. Last Friday I landed 2 Tigers a 30" and 40" on dropoffs on the outside of deep weed beds. Lots of 8" perch following my big swim baits. Try to get on the water early and off by 1 PM because of the play boats. The most productive areas are the edges of the weed beds and the steep banks with lots of docks. Follow the shadow lines as the sun gets higher. Red and Silver crank baits and 6" natual color swim baits [Wildeye with boot tail]
