Dan and I came here after fishing Rattlesnake and North because we had heard from an old fisherman that good sized trout were being pulled out of Killarney. We went to the point and fished at the steps looking out to the island. We didn't catch anything using spinners or trout crack (Power eggs) and I was beginning to think the old man feed us a bunch of malarky.

I decided to give up on trout and negotiated my way through the thorns and underbrush in search of bass. Standing on a fallen log I was able to cast to some lilly pads and immediately nailed my first bass of the day! I managed to nab 3 small bass using a black and green, silver flashed Aglia XD and was eager to catch more until Dan had to cut the day short for a wedding...a wedding! What can be more important than fishing!? Gave this lake a 4 for the blast with the bass, but really it deserved a 2. Dag-nab-it I need a flippin boat!!
