Is it my computer or the site?
Is it my computer or the site?
The last few days I have had an issue when I select to go view a report or forum thread. When I click to go, it takes me past the post and goes to a screen that is blank except for a Keen shoes ad at the top of the page. I can hit the back button and get to where I wanted but it's quite anoying. Anyone else having this issue?

Re: Is it my computer or the site?
We had an issue with a kobuto ad, not a shoe ad that I am aware of. The kobuto SD issue was fixed. Let us know if you still see your issue.
Re: Is it my computer or the site?
Sounds like a browser problem - or perhaps pop-up setting.
Try a different browser than the one you usually use, and see if the issue persists.

It's still happening to me but not every time now. In fact, it did it when I clicked on this thread.

Haven't seen a single ad here since enabling Ad Block Plus in Firefox.

Re: Is it my computer or the site?
We don't want the ads to be an issue, but they are the way we pay the server bills. Can you get a screen shot next time that ad gives you an issue? Then we can fix the problem.
Re: Is it my computer or the site?
Although my wife thinks I spend entirely too much time on the computer, I have never mastered the ability to "Take a screen shot" If you can tell me how to do that I will give it a try.
It is still happening this morning.

Re: Is it my computer or the site?
Here's what I see quite often when I try to view a forum post. In fact it came up again when I tried to access this thread. Just a blank page with a KEEN ad at the top. Sometimes the ad looks diffrent but it's always KEEN.
Re: Is it my computer or the site?
Are you experiencing this with more than one browser?
Have you tried changing browsers?
Is your pop up blocker set to block pop up ads?
I know that I mentioned these things in a previous post - however you haven't told any of us what you've done so far in an attempt to eliminate some of the possibilities.
I'm confident the issue can be eliminated - but like most else that is problematic - trouble shooting seems the clear path.
The best of luck.

Re: Is it my computer or the site?
I have run the cc cleaner on my computer and that's it at this point. I imagine that's not a fix for this problem though. I was mostly mentioning it in case it was a site problem. If it's my computer I will get it taken care of on my end. I'll look into it further here.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Is it my computer or the site?
Excellent work. I've forwarded this off to our ad publisher for review. They always get things fixed.
Re: Is it my computer or the site?
Our publisher has informed us that they will be disabling the Keen ad shortly.
Re: Is it my computer or the site?
I don't have a problem with ads but when they keep showing up like this one is it gets a little anoying. Thanks for the help.

It annoys us, also. We don't expect the companies that serve ads to us to break our pages.AJ's Dad wrote:I don't have a problem with ads but when they keep showing up like this one is it gets a little annoying. Thanks for the help.
