Rain rain come my way
Blow out the Snohomish for another day
The coho are lock Jaw
And I can’t catch one
but I am hoping my luck changes by the end of the run
You see I have a secret weapon that’s not a spinner or a spoon or a fly or a jig
I have something lethal that you all might dig
It’s in the air and on the ground
The water that’s falling is making the river brown
But it will drop and it will clear
The coho will be snappy and we all will share

If that doesn’t happen then there’s always steelhead
We will pack the Sky with 3 guys named Fred
And 1000 others that you’ll soon know well
All because WDFW doesn’t give a hell
See they released all the steelhead in the lakes, and said they taste better than the Metropolitan grill’s steak’s
And to the WFC I have a lot to say, for which I can-not write in this silly essay
Your lawsuit hurt and the WDFW bent over
Leaving the sportsman with no fish yet more dollars to hand over

As I digress and wait for Mother Nature to do her deed
And hope by the weekend the rivers will recede
Ill put on my waders and walk at first light
Hoping and anticipating that the coho will bite
