Spawning question
Do the muskies stocked in Silver and Newman Lakes spawn? I read an article that said planted skis do not spawn. Just curious if anyone has info on this. Thanks
Fish and men are alike. They both get in trouble when they open their mouth!!
RE:Spawning question
Tiger Muskies stocked by the WDFW are supposed to be sterile. I don't think that the State has as yet planted non-sterile muskellunge for broodstock purposes. I'm sure a chapter 57 member can correct me if I'm wrong.

Muskys can breed
Pike can breed
TIGER MUSKY, a hybrid of the two, are steril.
So Ive been told.

RE:Spawning question
This is very correct. They do on occation stage for a pre-spawn act, but the CANNOT spawn, and they produce no eggs or milt.RaMcVey wrote:Muskys can breed

Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
