Yeah but squaw fish serve absolutely no purpose to us fisherman. At least the cutts make for a fun fishery. And squaw fish dont migrate out to sea like a lot of the cutts. All year long they eat game fish smolt..... and thats about it
Squaw fish in some lakes serve a good purpose as bait for big makinaw...
In Priest lake, we catch a few squaw fish and use little strips of their meat on our bucktail flies behind a flasher when trolling for those mackinaws...
In Lake Washington, they do nothing but devour small fish like salmon/cutt/steelhead smolt...Not good in that situation...

Good luck...Maybe you can guide and write a book. Throw in tips,tactics and even some good old recipes. Looks like LW produces excellent cutthroat action. I would normally overlook Lake Wa.if you hadn't been showing and telling us. Just all around nice fish. Keep it up. Maybe you can call the book Kutts guide to cutts. or something like that.

KuttKilla.....I see you on-line many places and know you fish the Big Lake alot. Just wondering where it is you launch? I would like to try this fishery but hate to pay $16 to launch at coulon. Any ideas?.....Thanks......Les

yeah the closer u can get to the cedar the better also will save fuel for run times from the launch to the fishing spots

yea i hear yeah it seems the bigger cutts are down towards the river so thats were people should target them
