Banks lake, bank fishing in July

I don't care about how the fishing will be in July but will be in the area for some work. So I'm wondering how is the bank access on banks lake?

Its excellent. At the south end there is a park in Coulee city with docks and shore access. Also there is a boat launch on the opposite side of the dam with lots of shoreline available. Then head on up north along hwy 155 and you will find tons of places. There are two or three boat launch/camping places on the way with restrooms and more shore access. Then further north when you get to Steamboat Rock park there are even more options. Keep going north and follow the lake and there are even more all the way to Electric city. There are also roads on the other side of the lake that get you into more primitive areas around Barker Canyon etc.

Banks is one of the best shore fishing lakes I have seen in the state.

RE: Walleye from the bank- in the Midwest we used to use worm under bobber at night to catch walleye from shore. I have also caught them shore using rooster tails along rocky shorelines in the evening

We have caught walleye at Banks trolling and jigging very close to shore, so Im sure you have a shot. Good luck!

I have some limited experience with Banks, and agree you should have a huge selection of fishing spots from shore. As far as fishing for walleye from shore, you might try a Youtube search for Moses Lake bank fishing. I believe someone from WDFW has a very encouraging one up there. Good luck.

Thought I just let you guys know how I did out there is past week.

First off, just gotta say thanks to you all for the information regarding the bank/shoreline access to fishing banks lake. It was just as you all stated.

I tried about almost every rock from the south side at the out pump along hwy 155 all the way to coulee dam.
My setup was just a 1/2oz bottom bouncer with 4ft leader of either plain slow death hook or red/green Mack's lure. Of course with a half worm on the end. Just cast as far as I can, and let it sink all the way. Once it has touched bottom, I begin my slow retrieve.

It's crazy to say this but from this trip, if I don't hook up into anything within the first 2 casts of a certain spot, I should move.
From this experience, I always caught fish in the first and second cast at each location I chose. If I hit nothing and kept working the same rock, I end up with nothing.

Roughly ended up catching about 18 fish a day. Most of which were 10-14inches (under 12" released of course). Biggest one wecaught was 19".

Sorry I couldn't take pictures, I had a hunch about falling off the rocks with the phone in my pocket.
