It's been wild !!!

Post by Weekend-warrior17 » Fri Sep 26, 2014 10:37 pm

Hey y'all !!! First off I'm posting this on the river forum because its the one I used most. The last few months have been a real adventure , moved on my own out of state ( turned 18) first Tennessee now Virginia! Loving every minute. When it comes to inland fishing i haven't found anything that beats what Salmon and Steelhead physically go threw besides the fight when the float finally goes down at the end of your rod. Really took that for granid being a home grown Washingtonian , not knowing any better. I've gotten out a few times so far but haven't taken as many pictures as I would like. I know there's some Carp fisherman on here ! There about all I've found to compare to a salmon scratch the journey. Plan on steadily posting more fish porn whenever I get a chance.
Here's just a few!! Looking for some real pigs next.

Now THERE is a bunch of good fish. Dinner time. I've caught a turtle or 2 back in Michigan, but not that big, and I've never eaten a turtle. Catfish are great in the skittle.

Ready to fill the feezer with some red meat just waiting on rifle season scouted today ran up on a few does and a big ole gang of gobblers an a couple hens , bagged a few squirrels for dinner with the .22 .

That walleye is actually a sauger, closely related, taste the same, but slightly different. I've caught them at Kentucky Lake.

Deer Hunting Yesterday
Got up outta bed around 3am ( Far to early) to walk out and go freeze next to the creek and give it another go like many other mornings. Was dark for what felt like forever and when it finally got light and I took a look up in the trees and their must have been close to 20 Turkeys roosted 50 feet straight above me that must not of thought a thing of me climbing into my tree stand beneath hours before. What a sight! Eventually they flew up on the hill and it must of been 30 minutes after that this little 5 pointer (3x2) walked down the hill and across the creek 10 yards in front of me and that's all she wrote, one for the freezer.
Lifes Great!!

A couple days back on my way to work 6:00pm (Pitch black) rounded one curve , rounded the next a bit more wide, started out on a straight away had the ole B2000 up to about 50mph all the sudden i saw her randomly sprinting along parallel with me to my right i went to slow up she ran off into the field to my right out of sight and then out of no where came flyin back and of course had to hit me square in the grill. Pushed everything on my little pick up back a few inches but not to terrible. She hit and slid into the ditch to the left and was dead without a second thought. Weird , really Weird to me but what do i know think her head may have wrapped around the left head light witch was lights out for my head light and her. Thankful she didn't come up into the windshield . Back straps and dog food. Moral of the story keep your eyes peeled folks hunting season has these deer all kinds of confused and that much harder to predict. Here's a couple pictures just for the heck of it. Its a shame she's a young 2 year old but my truck was great full.
