Re: Steelhead Pictures 2011-2012
Who woulda thought id catch more fish in the vedder today...
Nailed 2 fish, one 10lb wild buck and a 5lb hatch hen. SMALL for the vedder, but still fish. Conditions are tough, low clear bright days, so 2 fish is good. Heres pics.

Nice fish! You guys are making me want to head back up there and chance getting my tires popped. Maybe I'll take a game cam next time "just in case"

If any of you guys throwing the videos together are using Adobe Premier, can you pm me how to pull background music from Itunes to my video?
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

If you put a I Love Canada sticker on your car you most likely wont get your tires popped. I too used to love fishing the Vedder. I find the Canucks are not a friendly people . Allthough they love grocery shopping in the USA.

Yeah some people are weird and I always hear of people getting their tires slashed but the people i talk to on the river are always really nice. I heard that the tire slashing thing was only one guy but if your worried about parking you can pm me for "safe" parking lots. Me and FF have been parking at the same one lately and haven't had any trouble.

well I went to the vedder again today. didn't get anything in the morning, then hooked and lost one, then this chrome bullet destroyed my eggs. hes a native buck, around 14lbs. I forgot how hard natives fight, this fish almost took me down a set of rapids, but I thumbed it, and brought him back. thank you 10lb ultragreen.

Re: Steelhead Pictures 2011-2012
WELL while kockmandoo was getting into some HAWG steel in the vedder I was over at the Grande Ronde for 3 days fishing steelhead. Conditions were perfect and I caught 27 Steelhead in 3 days. 2 days in drift boat 1 day from shore. Suprisingly for the Ronde, we caught a lot of big beautiful native fish. We fished a long ways away from the hatchery because of crowds, had the river to ourselves and averaged just about 10 steelhead per day. Fish over there arent like vedder fish, they run smaller, so our biggest were right at 13lbs or so, a lot being 7-10lbs, which are still bigger than the average hatchery fish over there running like 4 lbs ha. Anyways, LOTS AND LOTS OF COOL PICS. Stick with me here, theres a lot to see. Enjoy!
Yes a couple of the natives are like Barely out of the water with fins still touching, i just lifted them for a sec but the fins in still makes it legal.
