kingfisher - Try behind K-Mart or across the street from the Toyota dealership. Both pretty easy access and not overly-snaggy. (though it's a river...so finding snags is somewhat mandatory for drifting. lol)

The current is manageable there and usually running thigh-deep to waist-deep. The downfall is that there is really no bank to land a fish on. So, I'd only hit it if you have a net. I usually bring a large trout net (barely big enough and takes some aim) to land small pinks, and leave a big net on the bank in case I find myself in need of it.

tight lines,

Nice prework fish Brian! My little Puke pinks are in the smoker right now. How have the pinks been lately in your area? The lower river ones have been pretty bright.

Yea, the pinks aren't going above fred meyer and the confluence with the white. The day my dad and I fished we drove up to catch up to the big schools that had passed through, but we went up too far. Drove back down and found out what they're doing. They're pushing up and holding in the lower river, going up and down.

I guess that's a good deal if you wanted to target the big kings, but I can't argue with the brightness and abundance of the pinks! My first batch is done with the brine and going in my new smoker in a couple hours, I've got three more batches to do!

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Saw a small silver on a stringer today. It was the size of a cookie cutter pink.

Hooked and lost THREE kings today, two were one long enough to see the net a few times but managed to spit hook, thebummer is the second one I hooked was the biggest brightest king I think I've ever hooked

Dang, running big this year or are you just dialing them in better (or both)? If I hook a 'nook I have the setup to get it in but it makes it way too easy to pull the hook out of the pinks. Crackering too many pinks. They have had sea lice tho.
