Ok friends on my last adventure out in area 11 my big motor took a dive.
Its a 1978 evinrude 35hp
Parts I need are no longer available according to the online parts stores.
#1 a good used or new carb (PS if anyone recommends a good place to look I am all ears)
#2 a new or good used cyl. head (The top spark plug threads in the head are damaged)
Help me please, I am stuck on fishing the sound and can't go out with just my honda 7.5 kicker.

I can't help with the carb but you should be able to get a spark plug insert pressed in or helicoil put in. That's a pretty common problem for any 2 stroke OB. Cheap fix.

Update I have manadged to locate a brand new cyl. head from a guy selling off his outboard parts collection on craigs list. If the plan goes correctly I will have it this sunday.

Now, I still do need a carb so if any one has a suggetion please help.

P.S. bodofish, great idea but the last owner tryed to do that and destroyed what was left of the cyl. head. ( He was not a mechanic I guess)#-o
