Bo literally is my shadow. He follows me around were ever I go. Artie often comes and lays at my feet in the living room. When my wife or I are sick in bed, they never get off the bed, except to go outside for a minute. They are the best of friends.

Not always. When she asks for her treat, she smiles and wiggles all over and her tail is very powerful as it swings back and forth, feels like a whip. When she smiles her skin gets tight around her mouth. Yes, she really smiles.

Marc, that's a fine looking crew you've got. Now that the kids are gone I couldn't live with out them either. It's a giant pile on the bed at night (no goats or lizards). Linc and Odo are Bengals. They are little leopards. They're a cross between and american short hair and a "asian spotted cat". The spotted cats are arborial in the wild. Our two little demons can jump about 6' straight up, in fact they can clear the 6' back fence with out touching it. They only go out with a leash on. They have a switch that flips when they go outside, they kind of turn wild. Inside they're huge lovers or bad trouble makers. They wrestle with the dog and I'm not always sure who has the upper hand.

My buddy, Hugo is a 1yr-old Lab/Boxer/Other mix. He's a pain in the butt sometimes, but he can brighten the worst days.

Our house is a zoo. I have a pair of Springer Spaniels (one of which is about a week-and-a-half into her pregnancy, I hope), my wife has a pair of Shitzu's. All three girls have their own cat.

Cavdad we also have a Springer Spaniel (English Springer Spaniel...black and white 12 years old). He's a gorgeous and devoted dog. You really can't beat the English Springer...a total companion, and loving dog. I will post some pictures up here when I find some soon...he's very adorable! Are your Springers English Springer Spaniels? What color? When I get out of college I can't wait to get my own Springer as a pup from a well established and respected breeder with quality dogs...they are family!

Cute pup Mr. Mangler.
Cool pets guys. Keep'em coming.

Cavdad - I like how the site bleeps you out when you type Shitzu's. That's funny.

Our pets are just great! My dog, Princess is now letting my one year old grandson walk on her to look out of a window. Then she gets up and limps. I have to keep him away from her now.

THE CATS NAME WAS SQUEEKY, SHE PAST TWO MONTHS AGO FROM SOME SORT OF SICKNESS, THEY BOTH ENJOYED SUNNING THEM SELVES. WE REALLY ENJOY HAVING ANIMALS. OVER THE YEARS WE RAISED SHEEP(FFA/4-H), PYGMY GOATS, ANGORA GOATS, LAMA'S, HORSE'S, STEERS, RABBITS, CHICKENS, FISH, LIZARDS, SKINKS (NOT SKUNKS), SNAKES, GEESE, CATS, DOGS, VARIOUS BIRDS WHICH INCLUDED A RAVEN (RAY RAY) THAT WOULD LEAVE MICE AT MY DOOR STEP EVERY MORNING UNTILL HE FINALLY FLEW OFF WITH SEVERAL THAT CAME THROUGH. A COUPLE OF MAGPIES THAT WOKE US UP EVERY MORNING AT 5 AM SQUAWKING OUTSIDE OUR WINDOW, LANDING ON OUR HORSE'S (LANDING ON MY HEAD MANY TIMES) UNTILL A FLOCK TOOK THEM AWAY!! MY DAD TRADED WORK FOR TWO NANNY'S THAT US KIDS MILKED AND A BILLY GOAT. RIGHT AWAY THEY MULTIPLIED HAVING A SET OF TRIPLETS AND QUAD'S. THE BILLY WAS ALWAYS IN RUTT AND (I) WAS THE ONE WHO GOT TO FEED HIM EVERY MORNING BEFORE SCHOOL STARTED, I PRETTY MUCH HAD A WIDE PATH IN THE HALLWAYS AND BEING 16 I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE HAD A GIRLFRIEND AT THAT TIME IN MY LIFE. (SHE IS STILL WITH ME) :queen:
AS YOU SEE WE ARE DOWN TO THREE PETS. MORE FISH'N TIME HOPEFULLY THIS YEAR. <')//<

Both of my springers are English Springer Spaniels. They are field grade, eventhough the male has a lot of brown. My female is nearly all white with a few liver spots. His name is Jester. Her name is Patches and we are expecting pups in the next few weeks.

That is funny how my wife's breed of dog gets bleeped out. I don't want to offend the computer.

Well, all the best with the delivery! That's great that you keep the Springer legacy alive and well. Awesome stuff!

I fell in love with Springers over thirty years ago. These are my eighth- and nineth- ones. It's my breed and I guess they will always be my favorite. It's hard not to love Springers.

I'll play. Here is my Chocolate Lab Kobi doing what he loves, hunting. He is a hunting machine. He loves to hunt both upland and waterfowl. I could not find my upland pic disk. He is super good with my kids. He is getting up there in age, he is 9. I am hoping to breed him soon so as to have a pup fill his shoes when he retires in a year or two. I have owned him since he was 7 weeks old. Retirement will be hard on the both of us.

Awesome pics fish4brains. Kobi looks like a cool dog. Any dog that hunts in my book is a stud and to be a Chocolate Lab makes him even more cool. Good lookn dog.
Nice hunting pics too. You should add some of your great pics to the hunting forum under the thread Trophy Hunting Pics. It is in need of a couple good shots and that one in the snow is sweet.

Keep meaning to post to this string..These are my two -

My Yellow Lab is Annie - I adopted her about 7 years ago, from what I understand, she was a puppy mill-mom and was basically discarded once she couldn't have pups anymore. When I got her she weighed 90lbs, looked like a seal. Got her trimmed up and healthy and we have been working the past 5 years as a therapy team. We to a school once a week and work with elementary age kids who have Autism, Down Syndrom, Cerebral Palsy, and other issues. We also visit a nursing home once a month, where the "youngsters" are in thier early 90s. I am also on the board of directors for a group called Reading With Rover. We go into schools and bookstores and kids that are struggling to read- read aloud to the dogs. Annie is 14 this year, and because she is slowing down I am planning on retiring her at the end of this school year - though she enjoys it so much we may have to continue doing visits here and there.

My Red Heeler is PJ - Got him at 6 months (8 or 9 now). I can teach him anything. Took one evening and actually taught him to "Go Get a POP", he would go to the kitchen, open the fridge, grab a can of soda, and bring it to me. Of course that came to an end when he accidently bit down too hard and punctured a can - 7-up EVERYWHERE, unfortunately he now has an aversion to soda cans. The one pic is his pile of loot after we went to a PAWS walk and he won a bunch of the contests. He loves to fish (once I convinced him he didn't need to retrieve my casts). It is funny, he will wander around until I start reeling, then he is right next to me watching the water. When I let em go, he will stick his nose under the water and blow bubbles looking for them.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
