Searching for a forum user via name

I have always found the practice of searching out a NWFR member’s profile to be extremely difficult.
So if you go to the ‘Members’ section, and you choose the letter for the name they go by, then you have 136 pages of users with online names beginning with J.
So if you now put in persons name and search within members section you will get nothing.
This means with my thumbs (phone) I go through 132 pages looking for the person. It is not alphabetical...](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif "Brick wall")
Am I missing something?
Also, if a guy comments on a report, why can’t you click on his name, and then have the option to send a PM, etc. you can’t click on the guy’s name.![[mad]](./images/smilies/msp_mad.gif "Mad")
