How do they work? I've never really understood this. Is it by how many posts you have? Your impact to this site?

Here they are:
0 - Seaman
10 - Petty Officer (Member and Advanced Member 30-99)
100 - Warrant Officer
200 - Lieutenant
300 - Commander
600 - Captain
900 - Commodore
1500 - Admiral
Member and Advanced Member has shown up recently and I think that rank is intertwined with Petty Officer. Maybe Aaron or Mike will explain it to us one day, if they even know.

those numbers are old. I went into the system and added new levels to achieve and number goals. And I'm not tellin
what they are. Gotta keep some things a surprise.

At the rate that Sam and you are going, Mike is going to have to add some more, Secretary of The Navy, Joint Chief of Staff, Secretary of Defense or maybe higher.

The way we're going? The way Kuttkilla is going he will fly past everyone in a month and leave us all in the dust. If his #'s didn't start over he'd be hitting almost a 1000 posts. At 25 a day, within a month he'll have posted more than 750x. You better consider him for this ranking system. He has set a whole new standard in posting. Go Kutt Go!
I just want to know what rank I have to have to get my name in Pink. I think all the mods should be red and people could have an option to have a colored name once they reach a certain status. What's the possibilities of this happening for me? Name in Pink, going once, going twice.....

Fishinislife, you crack me up. Period. I, unfortunately, had to make a lot of posts in Fishingmachine's thread about a new boat because he really needed help...I try to aim for informational, informative posts...sometimes lengthy, sometimes not. I had to get rebooted for posts back when the big "blow up" happened, but Aaron, being as awesome as he is, along with Mike, and Marc, were able to restore everything else and everyone got their PM's back! Thanks G-d. Anyways, I feel like I should have never deleted my account to begin with, but TMI was up on the site (my mistake)... but I'm just gunna roll with the punches and take the heat...Joe Heater's always got my back, along with Dave, gotta love that guy. This is a great site, with great members...I love it! IrishRogue is another awesome guy! Just amazing support here. How does one get to Captain in less than 18 days? Are you employed? Do you live alone? How can someone post that much? Man, I sure hope the water warms up soon where you are so that you can get more time on the water and less on the computer. I think you are suffering from a severe case of cabin-fever.:colors:
