Google Maps Functionality

It would be really neat if we could post google maps into the forum posts. I have had a lot of requests for fishing spot advice, and it would be neat if I could put it in the forum. I know there's a lot going on with the site. Just a suggestion.

Will a link to the map page work? I've done that before.

It can be done, but it's very unsecure and "could" lead to bad things for the users. There are BBCODE addons for phpBB (our forum software) but they are extrememly complicated to post a map AND be safe, so most people steer sway from it altogether. If I run into a safe AND elegant way of doing it I will.
