I'm new to the site and was wondering you get a higher rank? Is it just by posting stuff on the site or do we get higher ranks for being good at fishing haha. jw

Its just ranked by the number of forum posts you have.... Unless you're a mod, then you're rank is whatever you want it to be.

You're about half right. Rank is based only on the number of forum posts you have. I'm a Mod and I'm unable to change my ranking otherwise I'd be Master Chief Petty Officer of WL.com[thumbsup]

Nope, I didn't want to stop there. Command Master Chief Petty Officer is only the most senior enlisted at that particular command, ship or station while Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy is the most senior enlisted in the whole Navy.

Actually the Master Chief has put us all through rigorous testing based on our fishing knowledge, angling skill and lack of a real life so that we have time to post on here all the time.

Big D, "Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy is the most senior enlisted in the whole Navy" is most impressive. Years ago I used to fish with the equivalent rate from the Army. Were you a good boy with the gold stripes or did you wear the red ones?

I believe the only thing I can do is make special ranks for individuals. Not even going there...

It took me seven years to get my first good conduct medal and I can still remember the Skipper looking me dead in the eye as he was shaking my hand and saying "It's about time Dirks" I was however discharged sporting four gold hash marks on my lower left sleeve.
