Maybe it is already there and I just can't find it. But if not, how about adding a link that goes with new topics to report offensive/stupid posts? Recently there has been a run on posts aimed at nothing but starting pissing matches and unfortunately people are getting drawn into the battle.

Posts that are meant to do nothing but start arguments and name calling have no place on this site.

Of course, that would mean Mike or Aaron would need to moderate the forums. Which, brings my suggestion that they get Moderators assigned and give em the power to moderate. :bball:

Ya beat me to my next suggestion. I think this site has gotten big enough that it may be time to seriously consider moderators.

OK, I need a couple guys that want to be responsible for moderating the Forums. We have Marc Martyn doing flyfishing and Easy Limits helps out, but looks like I need a couple more guys. I appreciate the help because it's keeping me from adding some new content right now.

As to a reporting link, just use the PM form to me or use the Feedback form.

Yes, I second that. We are getting more and more of these pointless arguments. Mike, if you deleted that thread please tell me because the other explaination is what I posted in the Bugs and Problems section.

I think cavdad, fishnislife, gpc are our big three nominations off the top of my head. I would be willing if you needed others.

If I had a single vote it'd go to fishnislife. He seems like a level headed guy who writes very clearly and could fulfill the duty. Not to put you on the spot or anything, but if you wanted it, I'd vote for ya...

I'm thinking exactly as you. Sam, I'm not trying to insinuate myself into a position, just a friendly offer to Mike because I don't know how many people he needs moderating.

I don't think the site is to the point where we need more then a few (2 more???) moderators who are FREQUENTLY on the forums and who are clear typers/explainers.
Reasons being: We need continuous monitoring of the forums. Mike and Aaron aren't online all that much, and we need someone who can give clear explanations to people to warn them to cut stuff off and also to be able to step in and be clear when threads need to be locked down....

I predict this site is going to have a huge boom in popularity by this June. This will be simeontaneous (sp?) with a new website update, so I think things are going to get very busy here.

OK guys, please PM me. I'll ask for two moderator volunteers and see if that's enough. Aaron and I are also looking for a couple of volunteers to help with entering data into the site. You'll get free membership for however long you decide to help us out (one year minimum). The two moderators will have free membership so long as they are moderating on the site. (I'm referring to the future paid area)

I, of course, would be willing to do whatever it takes to make this site even better and allow you and Aaron the time to do the same. Even if that meant being a moderator. I would suggest finding 2 or more people that have somewhat of off setting schedules. I work 8-4 so I would miss posts during that time. Just a suggestion.
