For those of you looking for a fun fishing event this weekend, I will be hosting Trout Unlimited's 2nd annual Lake Sammamish Perch Derby. Our first event was a blast and this one should be even better!!! We are filling up the prize pool, so come join us and catch some Perch, Save a Kokanee! and win Prizes!!!

There will be adult and kid divisions with prizes awarded for:
- longest perch
- heaviest perch
- heaviest 25 perch
- bonus prize for the heaviest pikeminnow caught
Check in and registration opens at 7 AM, then the action starts at 8 AM, with the final weigh in at 1 PM. Your registration fee includes an event t-shirt. Derby Headquarters will be at the Lake Sammamish Boat Launch in Lake Sammamish State Park where a Discover Pass or a daily parking/launch fee will be required.
All proceeds from the derby will support the Lake Sammamish kokanee recovery work being done by the Bellevue-Issaquah Chapter of Trout Unlimited in partnership with the Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership (UWRP) and the Kokanee Work Group (KWG).
