Red Hot Lake Chelan KOKANEE!

Post by Mike Carey » Wed Apr 10, 2013 4:20 pm

OK, this video is longer than my usual videos, but it's worth it. Lot's of great information and some fun catching! Don't miss Anton Jones as he shares his experience and knowledge as well.

Crazy Catching!! Awesome Job Mike, You and your wife put on quite the Kokanee Clinic. Thanks for your efforts to put the vids together and then sharing. What were you hooked up to for the shots from behind the boat?. Take care and look forward to future vids.

Nice job on the video Mike I really enjoyed it. I liked when you were taking a bight of food and you could see a fish on before you seen it and called it out. I was yelling fish on for you and my 4.5 yr old daughter came in the computer room to tell me you cant hear me. Great video and those are some nice fish. Ive been wanting to fish for Maks but now I want to fish for both koks and maks.

Thanks everyone. The fish are in the brine. The view looking back at the boat is just a bit of video magic, LOL. GoPro camera off a boogey board.

Talk about a hawg quest. Great video of my favorite type of fish. Do not apologize for the length. It was worth it!!!
And Joann is on video, yea!! You go girl.

Mike, post some pics of your homemade kokanee rigs. I couldn't get a good look at them but one looked to have a double spinner on it. Looked like a Colorado/Indiana up front and a willow leaf back behind somewhere.

OK, here's a few. I have a lot of color variations and I'm not afraid to experiment, especially when the bite is on.
I don't have a picture of the lavender hoochie that was catching a lot of fish this trip.

Here you go Toni. The rose color is very subtle.

Double spinner, that's an interesting variation to think about...

Nice hardware Mike thanks for sharing. I like to dabble in making my one. I have watched the video a few times and shared it on my FB wall for other friends to watch. You did a great job glad to see Joann getting some action too. =D>

Thanks for posting your lures. Lake Chelan is about 80 miles from Moses Lake. I see a trip in my future.

Dang, I'd be going every week! 190 miles for us and towing the big boat over the passes we get a whopping 11.5 mpg. Gets pricey.

Well, you did it again Mike. This is one of the most informative videos to date. Great Job...

A couple of questions if you don't mind,
1) How did you record the audio for your video?
2) I've got a Garmin eTrex Vista Cx that's very simular to the one that you show in your video. How did you load up the Chelan Hotspots to it?
Thank you,
