Profile pic problem

I've been spinning my wheels trying to update my profile pic. Using several different image tools I've cropped, resized, compressed, cajoled, pleaded and cursed - to no avail. My pic of choice is 48x48 square and under 100kb, but I get upload errors with every attempt. What am I missing?

Do you mean your 'avatar'? That guitar/pick-up/neck looking picture under your handle/name?

Go to your profile, then look to the left under;

Personal Profile:
Edit Profile
Modify Avatar
Signature
Subscriptions

click on 'modify Avatar'

You might have to take the old one off, before loading a different one.

I'd have to look to see what the max pixel size is, but the movie is back on.

I don't see the max pixel size listed anywhere, so Mike or Aaron will have to tell you.

Pretty sure he's talking about the premium member avatar... thats the only item that is 48x48.

What kind of error are you receiving on the upload?

Aaron, the error I'm getting is "Error saving file. Try again."
