pinks around saltwater state park?

Post by driftercn83 » Mon Aug 10, 2009 5:13 pm

I live closer to saltwater state park and am wondering if the fishing is good there as it is at dash or browns point for pinks from shore? I know all the tactics and have my own but need to know if I will wasting my time there?
An old man once told me that if you stick a worm on a hook drop it over the bank you can feed your self for life. I tried it modified it and geez I am beating them off with a broom now.

The fish move around with the tide. More and more come in every day. Fishing from the shore at Saltwater at low tide may be a good bet. Give it a shot!

The pinks are still coming...small schools are coming south but the big push is yet to come....Don't give up..The park is a good place. look what Shad says below .... It's closed now. Look for the people and try it there. The humpies aren't going to be around just one day or tide. There are hundreds of thousands of those little buggers. I saw more than 200 people fishing from the beach south of mukilteo. The beach at Bush Pt has been like a line to a football game. Except everyone has a stick with sharp hooks..Even saw a few people with hard hats..LOL Edmonds dock has been packed at times. Everyone is waiting for the big push. Good luck to you and if you need help just ping me....Steve :-)

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.

Be careful fishing at Saltwater State park off the beach. They changed the regs this year. It's now a marine preserve--no fishing allowed. Check the regs for the details on page 15 and 116.

Brown's Point did not produce for me as of last Saturday out in my boat but that doesn't mean they won't be there in bigger numbers here soon. I am toying with taking my boat to Deception Pass this Friday or Saturday to fish out in front of the State Park, ultimately avoiding the zoo. Or I might just try to be patient and wait for them to arrive at the Hollow in a few weeks. I can't wait!!!

Three of us limited on the Vashon side of Quartermaster Harbor on Saturday. Worked hard to keep on the schools.
Dashpoint was freakin crazy both Friday and Saturday with mass people buzz bombin from the pier. Try the east side of the pier at Dashpoint. Seemed to be kicking out a few pinks.:-"

I'm going to hit area 11 again tomorrow. Hope I can find the fish again.
