Back from Alaska

Post by fishingmachine » Tue Sep 02, 2008 4:47 pm

Went fishing in ketchikan for 3.5 hours off the cruise ship through a charter.
Well the fishing was amazing. So we put the first rod down with a plug cut and before we can get the second rod down the first rod has already popped and i grab it and after a three minute fight we have a 12lb coho in the boat. Well the day kept going the same with us landing 7 more coho over 10lbs and 3 pinks at 5lbs. I love alaska fishing. We were captain Ralph on the boat first light

Thanks there is nothing better than seeing a 10+lb coho getting airborne
They pop it off the dr clip and peel line like a king and keep the pole bent into the water

Looks like a good time, and the weather looks nice. I'm jealous, I've always wanted to check Alaska out.

Great pics fishingmachine! I got to fish Alaska (Ketchikan) for the first time the 17-19th of last month. The coho were just starting to come in (caught five in three days), but getting your limit of pinks was a snap, and halibut fishing was outstanding (see avatar pic). Looks like the silvers are in now though! Great job!
