Some links to potential bottom fishing sites in Pug. Sound

Post by The Quadfather » Wed Jun 10, 2009 9:50 pm

Was doing some Googling for ideas for a last fling with the Ling cod this weekend. I thought the following link was an informative page that showed many artificial reefs within the general Sound area.

http://www.boydski.com/diving/pugetsound.htm

It was nice that it shows GPS coordinates also.
Disclaimer: of course be aware if you are fishing around a popular dive site,, that there aren't actually divers there at the same time. and some places like the Edmonds underwater park are off limits.

Now the truth the Edmonds dive park sports more Monster Hogzilla moms then 10 local areas:-# :-&

You say so ?:-k I put another fourm lean on mean and doing:colors: :clown: spot on the Candy cane lane right south of the park the Rock reef=incoming tide pitch to the rocks 45-85 ft stuff, not full Jiggy just wrists rolls with longer smaller oil can colors and OCTYPUS slam!!!! LING A DING ON!!!!:fish: :nemo: :money:

THE Piggies move the just 28 inch/Boys= fish out of the park and leave the boys pushing the structures put in place to protect the Marina and boats and what it has done is provided a safe haven for younger fish until I came along!:salut: :rambo: :pirat:

I have caught 50 or more lings without staring the main motor doing the above listed on lighter rods 15-20lb max

Spot on Fish!

Early is much better for Lings IN THE SEASON and fishing them Early is the dressing they grow very slow and recover slower and get hammered by hammer time early](*,) o:) and local they have been leaned out some!:thumleft:

There you will Find a LING A DING OR 2 just ask another fourm memeber who Swede hand fed him the goods, tides and area!!!

Fish a Ding a Ling ON!!! :thumright :thumleft: :viking: :sunny: =d>

WITH THE CORRECT TIDE 4:30am:-$ START TIMES:cheers: IF NOT STAY HOME with dearest:colors: :compress: :clown:

THE DIVERS CANNOT SPEAR IN THE PARK as well:-$ PROTECED waters AREAS :-$ period  its a dive , pictures and learning area and zone:study: !!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Swede, I know divers can't spear in the parks as it's protected (which makes sense to me anyways) but I've also been told to be careful spearing outside of the parks where other divers are anyways 'cause most divers out here don't take to friendly to spears. Is there any particular puget sound areas you recommend for spear fishing, or just anywhere where there aren't other divers..?

divers are catch and release, no exceptions, no min/max size.

Thats a good link, I already had a different dive site bookmarked but this looks even better.
I found a decent shore fishing spot there I didn't know about before. I have yet to see a diver there or had one bite yet.
