RE:has anyone fished bowman bay?
yeah lite line, i fish it a bunch. i'm usually in the boat so i head out near the mouth of the bay by the rocks in the middle (coffin rocks). i have tried off the dock too, when the water was rough. i never caught anything. you should give it a try and tell me the secret technique when you figure it out...:bounce:
maybe try on the deception pass side (by Lottle Bay) just a short hike to your left if you're standing on the dock. BE CAREFUL around those rocks though. i've seen kelp over there, so maybe some greenling hang around.

I have caught many fish in my life. The most exciting? The next one.....

I've fished that dock many times, but not since about 1999
From the dock, you can catch perch, greenling, and flounder. One time, I caught a bunch of tomcod. The crabbing off the dock can be OK if the crab season is open (not open yet).

RE:has anyone fished bowman bay?
I have launched a canoe at Bowmans and fished around. Caught some rockfish off the walls at the entrance. Doesn't take long to slip around the corner and be out in the pass . .lots of moving water on high tides. Always wanted to catch a salmon out there but didn't. Had better luck off West Beach.
The dock always looked cool because the water was so clear . . . saw large starry flounder swimming around.
That's all I know . . Good Luck!

I went out there today and saw some pile perch below the dock but they refused everything I put down there on my 6lb line. after trying there for awhile then I walked down to the spot that Rolland recommended but the current was to strong. overall the bay area was pretty shallow and flat. I also walked towards Rosario beach and tried off the rocks but again it was shallow.
