My family and I went out to fish Hayden Lake on Sunday, we took our little 10 zodiac raft and launched from the sportsmans access on the far side of the lake. We first fished the inlet bay around the bend to the left, which was just opened this year. Catching nothing, we moved out of the bay along the left side shore. I casted out a 4" Salt and Pepper curly tail grub, and bam hooked into a big fish. It turned out to be a 19" 5lb largemouth, a personal best o:) . We motored out to the flats straight out from the boat launch. There was 10+ boats out there, so we made our way through them and fished off of a green boathouse. We caught a 21" 3lb pike, and my wife caught a 2lb smallmouth. After that we caught one more little bass and went home. We ended up having a great day on the water.
