squidding around des moines or redondo

Post by Dustin07 » Wed Jan 14, 2009 2:44 pm

i'm so bored with winter and would like a way to do SOMETHING other than go home and fall asleep after work when it gets dark so early.

What is squidding like in these areas? I've never squid jigged, but it sounds cool and is fun to say.. "squid jig"

do you simply throw a squid lure on a line and drop it over the dock/pier of your choice? (assuming there is light to attract them). Anyone have luck this late in the season? I read that Dec-Jan was good for southernly sound areas.

From what I heard the Kitsap area is hot this year.Bremerton Prolly Seabeck.I was out 3 times this year with only a few each time.I've seen some near limits but they are there all day and night.I mainly go to Seacrest or Downtown Seattle.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

I found a squidding forum and everybody was basically saying that the east side of puget sound is pretty slow right now.
