I enjoyed watching the last couple days of crabbing. With the sewage spill in the Snohomish all the areas around Everett were under emergency closure. Even under the closure there were pots out everywhere, even with big signs at the ramps. All I can say is Yummy!!!!! Ralph, I hope you were far away!

I was up on North Camano. Ive eaten 4 already and no bad effects at all. We caught at leat 125 all together . Most were soft shell and returned. Our pots were so full more could not have fit in. Maybe all the crabs left for Utsalady. Then all of a sudden there were hardly any. It was really weird. The next set were females so we packed it up.At that point we had our limit.

It all depends on where you set the pots. The males and females stick with each other. If you get a bunch of females, move your pots 50 yards. They seem to like to hang in distinct areas, I hardly ever catch females anymore. Stray one or two but that's it.

Yea we were just pulling the pots and letting them out to be caught another day perhaps. Got home washed all my gear and stowed the crab gear in the basement. Till winter season.
