Thank you Tom. I thought as much. I was hoping I was wrong.

Just remember that it opens 4th of July weekend and closes after labor day for all the "southern" Puget Sound areas. On a positive note, I spoke with a checker at Shilshole today and they believe that the recreational harvest in areas 8-1, 8-2 and 11 were low enough to merit opening up for the winter season. Unfortunately areas, 9 and 10 got hammered hard and will most likely be closed to recreational harvest until next summer.

It's time to let them bulk up for the winter snatch!

Last winter wasn't bad because it didn't get too cold. Im hoping for another wet but mild winter. Its brutal on the water in winter at times. My hands got numbed up a few times.

Yeah, short run, warm house, a fire and a hot drink of choice.

Were going Saturday for our last crabbing of the season. If I get a few I'll be happy.
