Do They Make Pedestal Base Covers?
I only load up with 3 seats in my boat and would like to cover up the remaining openings to keep water out. I noticed under a few of them, they have the floatation foam. I dont want water getting absorbed in there.
I dont want to remove the base completely. I do want a quick option in case I need to put a couple of seats back in.
I cant see to find anything on Cabelas or Basspro for it. Does this item exist?

Have you tried a Rubber Stopper? Larrys Brew Supply in Kent, off of 212 in the valley. They have rubber stoppers for large bottles that might fit perfect.

I don't know of any covers, but there is (or used to be) an adapter built to convert that style of pedestal base to a 3/4-inch pin pedestal. That wouldn't resolve things as neatly as you'd still have to put a cork in the hole for the pin.

FF, are those Attwood bases? Regardless, you might write the manufacturer and see if they make something like you're looking for.
If not, I like the rubber stopper idea, just remember to devise a way to be able to pull it out once you shove it in there.
Or, could you just throw a frisbee over the entire base. It's probably be a PIA under your feet, but might do the job.
Good luck with your search.

Hey, whatever works...or better yet, whatever works for the least amount of $. I had another thought. Depending on the size of those holes (I guess about 2"), what about the hole caps that they make for plugging countertop holes, the ones that are drilled to feed computer cables, etc. through? They're cheap and you can find them at Lowe's and Home Depot. I think they come in 2"-2 1/2" sizes.FishingFool wrote:I dont know what brand they are.
