I head into the salt about 10 times for each river excursion, so I always opt for a prop on my boat. Just take it easy and slow down in the river, especially if you don't know it well. Jets are nice for shallow rivers ...but for most everything else a prop is more efficient and quieter.
Take what fish you can use, but use what fish you take !

Visit the manufacturer's websites for all the "straight poop". Since you're in Arlington, you should take a short drive and visit Tom N Jerry's to see and touch.
