Walleyes

Can anyone tell me WDFW's reasoning for not having one single lake on this side of the mountains containing Walleyes? Is they are afraid they will eat the trout or what? I live in Arlington and I have 30 lakes within 25 miles of me that I can catch Trout. Is it too much to ask they allow Walleyes in one lake? What gives? I am tired of driving to Banks, Rufus, Roosevelt, Potholes, Moses and Oregon on the Columbia just to catch the best tasting fish there is.
Just venting.

The reason there are none on the coast is the state didn't plan for them. The oringal walleye where put into Banks in the 1930's and they have migrated via channels and irrigation ditches throwout the Columbia River drainage.
