I never know we had turtles on this side of the mountens. Has any body else ever hooked into one befor. I got one in the leg didn't mean to but it was about 8 to 8 1/2in from the top of the shell to bottem not counting his head and tail. I was surprised to see one here let alone that big. I got him out of KAPOWSIN and I talk to one that said that he had seen them befor but not that big.

Lake Sammamish has a few. I have taken pics of them sunning themselves on the logs on the north end of the lake. Last time I was out on my kayak, I counted 10 of them....usually I see around 3 or 4 on the logs. I think some of them are non native turtles though...they have the red stripe on the face...like the ones you see at the pet stores.

they're everywhere on Lake Washington. all of the little bays and backwaters there's turtles. a few weeks ago i saw at least 50 sitting on a bunch of logs near the willows getting ready to rest for the night. pretty cool.

Yup, I've seen them on Fazon. Not too many but it's usually right before dusk when the activity on the lake has died down a little and I'm getting ready for some night cat fishing.

They are all over now...I think I know that log where your talking about CK....I would have guessed atleast 40 or 50 last time I was there too...

I've had one hit a nightcrawler under a bobber at a little pond I was fishing for bluegill and brown bullhead for...

Needless to say I was suprised to pull that sucker in....

A couple live in Carlisle Lake in Onalaska; which is suprising because that pond is SMALL.
