Thanks Shawn. The first sunny/hot day of the year is always the worst. It dosnt have to be REALLY hot to give your skin a good burn. I hadnt even thought of that until you mentioned it.

Too late, I fried my face today. :( But catching fish made up for it.

LOL!
I was just thinking about all those people at the Mariners game who are pale as a ghost and you know they are going to be hurtin' tomorrow.
Sorry to hear about the burn shawn & urbanangler, I know how that feels. I'm sure quit a few people got fried today.
Thanks for the reminder.

Listen up people. Enjoy that sunburn! lol. This was our first nice day of the year. Does'nt it feel good to say "dang, i got roasted out there". Plus the temps are supposed to drop down to the low 50s again

Hahaha you poor Washingtonites. My little trip down to Arizona (without sunscreen!) a week or so ago prepared me. I got out on the lake the last two days and not even a hint of red. Again, no sunscreen. I'm laughing at those of you suffering because you can't go out and fish.

Before leaving for yesterday's trip to Cranberry Lake, my wife ran back in the house and grabbed the sun block. I even remembered to put it in the boat before launching. For 3 hours we fished, it was sunny at times but also filtered by high clouds which we all know means nothing when it comes to sunburn. So I didn't think about putting it on and I am now enjoying the burn on the back of my neck and ears. Thank God for ball caps! Feels good, the sun and day were absolutely great.

Yup yup,
I feel your pain Shawn. I packed everything but the kitchen sink this morning for a day on the lake, and of course, forgot the sunscreen! Needless to say, while I sat on the bank of Lake Wenas today (getting skunked mind you), I got fried. I look like a tomato now, lol. Awoods got a point though. That pain is a reminder that winter has not kicked our butts and that summer is right around the corner, with many great fishing adventures to come!

I got a good sunburn yesterday. Used a little sunscreen, but think I put it on too late. Oh well, I'll have some color to show for it in a few days

I usually thank my heritage when I forget to lather up with the sunscreen....Im a little warm on my right side but not too bad, was only out in the sun a couple hours.....got just enough native american in me to help keep from burning really bad....I got just a pinch of it from a few generations back.....I didnt even notice where I was starting to burn till I was toweling off after my morning shower this morning
